Jellyfish (Lydgate Beach). The beach was littered with these the second day we were there (probably spotted 50 or more in a two mile stretch). We were careful, but not too alarmed. Brent continued to walk in the surf -- and almost got hit by one in the act of washing up on beach -- Donna nearly stepped on a couple. It wasn't until we got back to the mainland that we identified them as exemplary specimens of the potentially lethal Portuguese Man-of-War. Ignorance is bliss ... if you survive.
